Right about now, you may have a case of what we like to call the Summer Scaries. August is almost over, and our favorite beach-filled, sundress-wearing, ice-cream-eating season is coming to an end. It’s easy to let that get you down, but remember what comes after summer…fall! And a surefire way to fight Summer Scaries is by embracing all the awesome that fall has to offer, like…
1. Fall scents.
It’s time to embrace cinnamon, clove, and pumpkin. Bring on the smell of fresh apple pie. And if you’re not necessarily a baker, you can fake it with the Yankee Candle Apple Spice candle. Light one up and your whole house will be filled with the delightful scent of autumn.
2. All the pumpkin.
This wouldn’t be a post about fall offerings if it didn’t include pumpkin! And luckily Halo Top knows that we’re already clamoring for it, which is why they’ve early-released a pumpkin pie flavor of their popular low-calorie ice cream. And one pint carries 20 grams of protein, so don’t feel bad about maybe throwing a piece of pumpkin pie into the mix as well.
3. Big plaid scarves.
What’s a #basic fall Instagram without a giant plaid scarf wrapped around your neck? FabFitFun’s Fall Box includes a stylish version by ModCloth, which can be worn four ways. That means four different Instagrams to take at the pumpkin patch…you’re welcome.
4. The perfect pair of fall boots.
Planning some epic fall hikes? Need to do some serious leaf raking? Whatever outdoor plans are on your agenda, you’ll want to keep your feet dry with a pair of waterproof boots like these from Timberland. They come in eight colors, and look cute paired with your scarf, leather jacket, or leggings.
5. Epic tailgates.
Fall means football, and football means tailgating with plenty of beverages, snacks, and burgers ‘n’ dogs! Take the party with you anywhere thanks to a portable grill, like the Coleman version available at Home Depot. With matchless lighting and wheels, it’s the perfect choice for both away and home games.
Hopefully we’ve gotten you excited about fall and ready to kick Summer Scaries to the curb. Did we miss any of your favorite parts of fall? Comment below and let us know!
