We are excited to announce Julius as our official media sponsor for our Press Previews Spring Into Summer event! We were lucky enough to chat with Bryn Sanders, the VP of Sales at Julius, to learn a little bit more about their business and new platform. Without further ado, here’s the inside scoop on Julius!

Can you tell us a little more about Julius?

Julius is an influencer marketing software company.  Whether a celebrity or social media star, we provide marketers access to people of influence that connect with their target consumers.  Discover, source, and manage your relationships all within one platform: Julius.

Influencer marketing is always evolving. Can you tell us some hot trends brands should have on their radar for 2017?

Three trends picked up a lot of steam in 2016 and are certain to develop further in 2017: micro-influencers, Snapchat, and building and managing relationships. Social is growing in quantity and evolving in quality.

More influencers are popping up every day because they are creating innovative content that’s connecting with people. It takes too much time and attention for a marketer to zone in on social media all day to spot these new influencers, connect with them and build a relationship. That’s why platforms like Julius are playing a pivotal role in making influencer marketing more accessible and efficient for brands, raising the already high ROI.

Snapchat’s user base is on a hockey stick trajectory, growing almost 3x in two years. Its engaged users (60% contribute content!) make it content-rich. Average users are engaged with the app for 30 minutes per day. These are great numbers that leave tons of ways for marketers to reach consumers, one of them being leveraging influencers.

When it comes to influencer marketing, building and managing relationships shouldn’t be ignored. Influencers are brands’ creators and spokespersons. Building long-standing relationships increases authenticity, a key to influencer marketing. Influencers want to represent brands they believe in. Inevitably, influencers and the brands they work with become a part of each others’ brand.

How do you typically work with brands, and how can they benefit from using Julius?

Brand marketers log in to Julius to search for influencers who align with their brand. Our subscribers find value in leveraging the millions of data points that allow them to make an informed decision on who they should work with.

Since our Spring and Summer event, what are some of your summer must-haves?

Sunscreen!  Always an essential as weather warms up and I find myself outside more.
