Three trends picked up a lot of steam in 2016 and are certain to develop further in 2017: micro-influencers, Snapchat, and building and managing relationships. Social is growing in quantity and evolving in quality.
More influencers are popping up every day because they are creating innovative content that’s connecting with people. It takes too much time and attention for a marketer to zone in on social media all day to spot these new influencers, connect with them and build a relationship. That’s why platforms like Julius are playing a pivotal role in making influencer marketing more accessible and efficient for brands, raising the already high ROI.
Snapchat’s user base is on a hockey stick trajectory, growing almost 3x in two years. Its engaged users (60% contribute content!) make it content-rich. Average users are engaged with the app for 30 minutes per day. These are great numbers that leave tons of ways for marketers to reach consumers, one of them being leveraging influencers.
When it comes to influencer marketing, building and managing relationships shouldn’t be ignored. Influencers are brands’ creators and spokespersons.
